Stephen McElroy, Ph.D., GISP

Dr. McElroy has been working in the GIS field since 1999 as a GIS technician for the U.S. Department of Agriculture; a senior research specialist for the Department of Soil, Water, and Environmental Sciences at the University of Arizona; and the assistant director of geospatial technologies for a private-sector cultural resource management company. Dr. McElroy holds a Ph.D. in geography from the joint doctoral program at San Diego State University and the University of California, Santa Barbara, and a GIS professional certification from the GIS Certification Institute.
